Gitanjali Vedika School proudly hosted the ASISC Drawing and Painting Competition 2024 for the Junior and Sub- Junior Category, a celebration of artistic talent and creativity. The event welcomed an esteemed audience, including our distinguished judges, Mrs. Swathi and Dr. Prof. A. R Kamal Roy, teachers from various schools, along with our school’s Director, Mrs. Madhavi Chandra. The occasion was further graced by the presence of coordinators,teachers, and enthusiastic students.
The day began with a warm welcome address, highlighting the importance of nurturing creativity, quoting Pablo Picasso, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." This set the tone for a day filled with artistic expression and vibrant performances.
The ceremony commenced with a traditional sloka presentation by our Grade 2 and 3 students, adding a touch of cultural heritage to the event. Their performance was a beautiful introduction to the creative spirit that defined the day.
The most awaited part of the day arrived with the announcement of the competition topics-Sub Junior Category: Nature, Junior Category: Fantasy. Total 29 schools participated. The participants of the schools were informed of the themes and given four hours to showcase their artistic skills. This provided a structured yet exciting challenge for the young artists.
A captivating welcome dance performance by our students highlighted their grace and talent, adding a vibrant and dynamic element to the event. Following this, mementos were presented to the judges as a token of appreciation for their invaluable contribution to the competition.
The judges addressed the gathering, sharing their thoughts and insights on the competition and the remarkable talent displayed by the participants. Their words of encouragement further inspired the students and set a positive tone for the event.
The highlight of the day came with the announcement of the competition results. Each winner was celebrated for their exceptional creativity and artistic skills.
The ASISC Drawing and Painting Competition 2024 was a resounding success, epitomizing our school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and providing a platform for young artists to excel. This triumph would not have been possible without the invaluable efforts of our Principal, Mrs. Sonia Nagpal, whose visionary leadership and unwavering support were instrumental in bringing this event to fruition. Additionally, the meticulous planning and coordination by our dedicated team of coordinators played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
