ASISC Zonal level Debate Competition 2025

The competition was conducted as per the guidelines given by the Council. Students from 7 schools participated in the Senior category and 14 schools participated in the Junior category. 14 students took part under the Senior category and there were 7 teams. 28 students participated under the Junior category in 14 teams.

Judges and Moderators

The panel of judges included Dr. Hyma Moorty and Ms Amrita Didyala for both the Seniors and the Juniors. The moderator for Senior Category was Ms. Shruti Shehnaz Khan. Ms. Syeda Razavi was the moderator for the Junior Category.

Awards and Recognition

Rahini Shree Manya Kancherla and Aimen Abdul Hameed of Nasr School, Khairatabad, from the Senior category were declared the winners. B. Srija and Poorva Totade of St. Joseph’s School were declared the runners-up and Aimen Abdul Hameed of Nasr School, Khairatabad was declared the Best Speaker. Raiyan Akif and Mohammed Raheem Khan of Nasr School Boys from the Junior category were declared the winners. I. P. Antara Sahasya and D. Prajesh Kumar of St. Joseph’s School were declared the runners-up and Fareeha Ahmad of International School was declared the Best Speaker. They were congratulated and presented with the Certificate of Merit. All the participants received Participation Certificates along with best wishes.

Conclusion

Students from the participating schools were able to learn many things from their peers. They also received valuable feedback from the judges. This competition provided a soapbox for students, bringing out the critical thinking and problem solving skills hidden within each of them. The event was held with utmost fairness and was a huge success.
