ASISC Telangana Zone Creative Writing Competition 2025

The ASISC Creative Writing Competition, a highly anticipated annual event, was successfully hosted at Johnson Grammar School, ICSE, Habsiguda-TS008, on Thursday, 31st July 2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 13 schools with a total of 32 participants, showcasing the diversity and literary talent of young writers from the region.

Participation and Registration

A total of 13 schools participated, each selecting a group of students to represent them. The registration process was streamlined as follows:

  • Invitation and Circular: The ASISC regional office sent invitations and detailed circulars to all ICSE schools in the region, outlining the date, venue, and competition guidelines.
  • Submission of Participant Details: Schools submitted participant names, grades, and contact information via the ASISC Portal.
  • Confirmation: Schools received confirmation emails with event schedules and further instructions.
  • Notably, one participant, Irene Vinay from Kalpa School (AP077), was absent. Additionally, Abhyasa Residential Public School reported a last-minute change in participant name from Balagoini Kaushal Tej to G. Shrians, communicated via email by the HOD English.

Conduction of the Competition

The competition was conducted with precision to ensure fairness and an inspiring environment:

  • Arrival and Registration: Participants arrived by 8:30 a.m. and were verified at a registration desk, receiving identification badges and seating arrangements.
  • Inaugural Ceremony: The event began with a Welcome Address and competition rules outlined by the Principal.
  • Topic Announcement: At 9:00 a.m., the Principal announced the writing prompts for each category:
    • Sub Junior Category: "News media has become an entertainment"
    • Junior Category: "Games improve learning skills and should be a part of the curriculum"
    • Senior Category: "If we could erase one emotion"
  • Writing Session: From 10:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., participants wrote their pieces under invigilator supervision.
  • Collection of Scripts: Answer scripts were collected, securely packed, and sealed in the Principal’s office before being handed over to the ASISC office, accompanied by an attendance sheet.

The ASISC Creative Writing Competition at Johnson Grammar School was a remarkable celebration of literary talent and youthful imagination. The event provided a platform for budding writers to express their creativity while fostering collaboration and spirited rivalry among schools.
